Abstract

Reproductive autonomy as a fundamental human right encompasses the freedom of individuals to make choices about their reproductive health including decisions related to motherhood, abortion, menstruation and overall well-being. The legal landscape plays a pivotal role in shaping these choices. This paper embarks on an in-depth journey through the intricate dimensions of reproductive autonomy, scrutinizing the interplay between legal frameworks, human rights principles and individuals' experiences in the context of diverse reproductive journeys. Reproductive autonomy stands at the intersection of legal landscapes, human rights and diverse reproductive experiences. This paper underscores the importance of comprehensive assessments that integrate physical and mental health considerations. By shedding light on the complexities surrounding reproductive autonomy, it seeks to advance discussions and policies that protect and enhance individual choices and human rights in the context of diverse reproductive journeys. This paper embarks on a comprehensive exploration of the multifaceted domain of reproductive autonomy, human rights and procreative liberty. It examines how societal norms, healthcare policies, and human rights principles shape the experiences of individuals in the realms of motherhood, abortion, menstruation, and mental-physical health assessment. Through a multidisciplinary approach, this paper aims to unveil the complexities surrounding reproductive autonomy, emphasizing the critical importance of a holistic assessment that integrates physical and mental health considerations.
