Cosmological Inflation: Origins, Mechanisms, and Observational Signatures
Keywords:
Cosmological inflation, Early universe, Inflationary theory, Horizon problem, Flatness problemAbstract
Cosmological inflation is a theoretical framework proposed to explain the remarkable
uniformity and large-scale structure of the observable universe. According to inflationary theory, the universe underwent an exponential expansion phase in the earliest moments of its evolution, leading to the rapid stretching of space-time and the dilution of density fluctuations. This inflationary epoch is believed to have resolved several long-standing problems in cosmology, including the horizon problem, the flatness problem, and the origin of primordial density perturbations observed in the cosmic microwave background radiation. In this research, we provide an overview of the origins and motivations behind cosmological inflation, tracing
its theoretical development from the pioneering work of Alan Guth to subsequent refinements and extensions.
