With the rise of digital technology, children are spending more time in front of screens, raising concerns about the potential psychological impacts. This longitudinal study investigates the effects of excessive screen time on children's mental health, focusing on anxiety, attention span, and sleep patterns. We followed 500 children aged 6-12 over two years, using parental surveys and psychological assessments to track behavioral changes. The findings suggest a strong correlation between high screen time and increased levels of anxiety and attention difficulties, along with a decrease in sleep quality. Notably, children who engaged in more outdoor activities and had structured screen time showed fewer negative effects. The study concludes with recommendations for parents, educators, and policymakers to set screen time limits and promote balanced activities.
