Abstract

This paper presents a comprehensive review of the vital role that parent involvement plays in the education of children with special needs. Parents are essential stakeholders in their children's educational journey, particularly for those with diverse learning requirements. This review examines the various forms and benefits of parent involvement in special education, explores barriers and challenges faced by parents, educators, and policymakers, and proposes strategies for enhancing collaboration and support in this critical area. By recognizing and promoting the significant impact of parental involvement, educators and policymakers can create more inclusive and effective learning environments for children with special needs.
