Abstract

The ethical considerations and regulatory frameworks surrounding gene editing
technologies such as CRISPR-Cas9. We explore the potential applications of gene editing in medicine, agriculture, and biotechnology, as well as the ethical dilemmas raised by the ability to manipulate the human genome. Through a review of international guidelines, bioethical principles, and public debates, we analyze the ethical implications of gene editing for issues such as genetic enhancement, germline editing, and equitable access to genetic therapies. Our research aims to inform policymakers, scientists, and the public about the ethical challenges and governance mechanisms needed to ensure responsible and equitable use of gene editing technologies in the life sciences.
